Skincare, skincare, skincare

I have always taken care of my skin, I’ve had a routine for years as I know how important it is to take care of it because your skin stays with you as you age! If you don’t have a skincare routine I hope I inspire you to start one as it’s super important. My last skincare post was three months ago in April so I have some new favourites to tell you about!

*Bioderma Photoderm Tinted Cream – Feel Unique – I wrote about this tinted moisturiser in a few previous posts and I’m still using it everyday as it evens out my skintone and gives my face some colour as my face does not tan (it’s really annoying, anyone else the same?). I can always tell if I haven’t applied this before my makeup as I’m not as tanned and my skin colour is less even.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray – Beauty Bay – This spray is my favourite out of all three in the Mario Badescu range as it’s so refreshing and cooling on my skin. This spray is perfect for the warmer weather if you need cooling down, spraying it on top of makeup doesn’t make it run either, as long as you don’t go overboard with it of course.

Intense Moisture Cream – The Body Shop – My skin needs an intense moisturiser as I have dry areas and this one makes my skin feel so soft, it isn’t greasy either and doesn’t make your face super shiny!

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water – Superdrug – This micellar water is one of the only micellars I will use as a lot contain polyaminopropyl biguanide (PHMB) which is banned in some countries as it can be harmful. Some well-known products that currently contain PHMB are the L’Oreal and Garnier micellar waters! This Simple one works really well and doesn’t irritate my skin at all which is one of the main things I look for in a makeup remover as my skin is very sensitive.

St Tropez Self Tan Facial Oil – Beauty Bay – This is my latest obsession and newest purchase! I’ve been thinking about getting a self tanning oil for my face for a while as I refuse to use actual fake tan because a lot of people say it clogs up pores and I don’t really think fake tan that you use on your body should ever be on your face! I apply this after doing my skincare on an evening and then in the morning my face is significantly browner! I use 4 drops and make sure it’s evenly distributed to avoid looking orange or patchy, I haven’t experienced either of those yet which is a good sign! I highly recommend this to anyone with a paler face than the rest of their body which is a problem I have…

Simple Rich Moisturiser – Superdrug – If you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful moisturiser that’s not too thick or too light, I’d recommend this one. As I’ve probably mentioned before, my skin is quite sensitive, especially on my cheeks and this moisturiser doesn’t make me flare up at all.

*Bioderma Hydrabio Gel Creme – Bioderma, Feel Unique – I really enjoy this moisturiser, it’s super light and cooling on the skin and you definitely don’t need a lot of it. I’ve also never seen a moisturiser that looks like this before with the pump, where the product comes out, being at the bottom! It doesn’t have the same consistency as your average moisturiser, it’s more gel-like but I like that as it makes for a good makeup base. It’s very hydrating and doesn’t make your face look greasy, which a lot of moisturisers I’ve used in the past do!
