5 Skincare faves

For this week’s post, I thought I would compile a list of my 5-step skincare routine as I’ve finally figured out what works, which leaves my skin fairly clear (touch wood)! I have changed a few products in recent months as my skin was struggling for a while at the start of the year.

Makeup removal…

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – Boots – I got this cleanser after hearing good things! And after watching a lot of Skincare by Hyram on YouTube. After using it for a month or so, I can’t say much, but it hasn’t made me break out which is a positive. However, I don’t particularly like the very watery consistency, but that’s just my opinion hahaha. I may go for the foaming one next time, but we’ll see.

Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash – Boots – I’ve been using this facial wash since my skin started going down hill at the start of this year, it did seem to sort it out and I’ve been loving it ever since! It also lasts FOREVER! It features in the big Soap & Glory Christmas gift set, so will hopefully be receiving that again this year to keep me stocked up!

Moisturising…

Forever Living Aloe Vera Gelly – Amazon – I’ve always got a bottle of this gel in my drawer as aloe vera is great for sunburn or scratches etc (I’m a bit clumsy). But after a recommendation, I started using it twice daily as my moisturiser and I can’t complain! It’s super cooling and my skin seems to like it 🙂

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 – Boots – I’ve been using this after my moisturiser for just over a month and I’m enjoying it, I have some dry patches on my face, and I’ve found this helps with those a lot! The Ordinary is an amazing brand and has definitely been trending a lot this year, for good reason though because it’s super cheap and natural!

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% – Boots – I got this a while ago to combat scarring from acne and it’s helped them a lot! You definitely have to persevere with it though as I do use it consistently twice a day to get the best results!
