I went for an all black look for a shopping afternoon in Chester, mainly to show off my new shoes which I’m obsessing over right now!

For an evening wandering around Cheshire Oaks in Chester I opted for a casual look, as usual. Because I dress quite plain a lot of the time, I do like to make a statement with either my jacket or shoes.
Continue reading “Camo with Pink Platforms”Turning twenty…
First post as a twenty-year-old! I’m not as mad about being twenty as I thought I would be so it’s not going too bad so far! On Tuesday I went into Manchester for a wander and some good food and drink. It was a sunny but windy day so I opted for a summery top with some simple jeans.
White on blue denim
I really liked wearing this outfit, it was perfect for a sunny but a bit chilly day. Found another pair of jeans from somewhere that isn’t Topshop aswell!
Printed hoodie – H&M – I’m a big fan of thin hoodies like these, especially now the weather is getting kind of warmer… I can never walk out of H&M empty handed, it’s the one shop I can always find something in. They do the best printed hoodies and tees like this, super cheap as well! I knew I had to have this one when I first saw it, I was obviously drawn to the Paramount Studies logo being a media student!
Skinny jeans – ASOS – I love ASOS Ridley jeans, they’re my fave. They are actually better fitting than the Jamie jeans from Topshop dare I say it! There’s so much choice with colour as well! I’ve been wanting some jeans this colour for a while as blue jeans with white is one of my favourite combos. I will definitely be wearing these more in the warmer months!
Nike Air Force 1 – ASOS – I know I say this about most shoes I own but my AF1s are probably my favourites. They go with everything, literally. White shoes with blue denim are everything.

Simple tees everyday
You can’t go wrong with a simple tee and jeans. It’s definitely my go-to pairing and what I feel most comfortable in, which is what you want right?!
Levi’s graphic tee – ASOS – ASOS have a fab Levi’s range on their site, their tees are so affordable! I don’t have a tee like this, which is what drew me to it. White tees are my favourite anyway, but the design on this one is super unique and eye-catching, so comfy aswell and fits perfectly!
Black Jamie jeans – Topshop – I will throw these on whenever, they’re super comfy and definitely my most trusty pair of jeans.
White slip-ons – Vans – Slip-ons are just so comfy!! My white ones are so crisp and I’ve managed to keep them quite clean as well. These go with anything and I thought they’d tie this outfit together.
Black backpack – Fiorelli – I’ve been on the hunt for a mini backpack for months! I was so happy when I saw the perfect one on Fiorelli, it’s the perfect size for essentials when you’re out and about. You’ll be seeing this on the blog quite a lot from now on! Backpacks are so low maintenance and so much easier to carry around than a shoulder bag, trust me.

What’s new in my skincare
I have a few new skincare bits to share with you, I haven’t posted about it in a while so I thought I’d bring it back.
Micellar Cleansing Water – Primark – Micellar water and other makeup removers can get pricey, so when I saw Primark sold their own I had to try it. I was pleasantly surprised! I have quite sensitive skin so trying new products can be risky but I really like this and it hasn’t made my skin react.
Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream – Superdrug, Boots – I’ve been using this for a while after seeing YouTubers recommend it. I’m obsessed with moisturising and I really like this one, especially because you can get it in a tub, which I prefer to bottles.
Bioderma Photoderm Tinted Cream – Feel Unique, Look Fantastic – I’ve probably been using this moisturiser just over a year. I use it before I put makeup on as I don’t wear foundation so it evens my skin-tone out and gives me some colour. It’s quite subtle but gives you a glow which I really like.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray – Beauty Bay – I’ve been using Mario Badescu’s facial sprays for a few years now I think and they’re just so refreshing and calming on your skin, especially in the warmer months which are fast approaching! I prefer the Aloe spray to the Rosewater as it smells better and feels more cooling.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion – Beauty Bay – This stuff is amazing, if you have a spot, stick some of it on it and it dries it out within a few days or even overnight sometimes! Don’t shake the bottle though, I don’t know why, but everyone says not to!
St. Moriz Facial Serum – Superdrug – I put a little bit of this on my face most nights and I wake up a little bit more tanned. You don’t have to use a lot for it to have an effect either so it lasts ages.

Grey skinnies & Tommy Hiltigger
Back with another OOTD, I loved wearing this outfit, mainly because it incorporates a lot of my favourite pieces at the moment!
Grey skinny jeans – ASOS – I’m obsessed with these! The Ridley style jeans by ASOS are perfect! I’m so picky with jeans and they come in sooo many colours and are the best fitting. Really impressed with these and will be where I get all future skinnies from!
Tommy Hiltigger tee – Fornever Clothing (click here for 20% off) – I love this design, I’m a huge t-shirt person as I dress so casually on a day-to-day basis with being at university. Fornever do some really unique designs on t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies which I love, they’re worth checking out if you haven’t already, I would also suggest sizing up!
Nike AF1 – ASOS – My AF1’s might be my favourite trainers, I love white trainers when they’re super clean and crisp. These can be worn with anything, but I think they go really well with my white and grey theme going on here.
Clear belt from Primark. Similar at ASOS, Nasty Gal – Shoutout to Chlo for letting me borrow her belt for these pics hahaha. I had vision for this outfit and it included a clear belt, which I knew would finish off the look. I know this belt is from Primark as I was there when the purchase was made, why didn’t I buy one for myself!? Whether they still sell this is another question but bigger Primark’s have a really good selection of belts so you might find something similar there. Clear belts are such a staple as they really do go with anything, I need to find my own now!

Colour blocks & Slip-ons
Last week we had a few days of summer! Sadly not for long though. Can’t wait for the warmer weather to start, I’m over winter now! This week we have another comfy outfit, perfect for going out and about in.
Colour block sweatshirt from Pull&Bear. Similar at H&M, Pull&Bear – I love Pull&Bear, they need to open more stores because I’d probably buy most things from there then! I love colour blocks and slogans so this is perfect for me, it also has a raw hem which gives it more of an edgy feel. It’s super cosy and easy to throw on! If you don’t know much about Pull&Bear check out their website, their prices are soo good and they sell all sorts.
Black trousers from Primark. Similar at Pull&Bear, Stradivarius – I’m trying to get into wearing trousers, especially with the warmer weather starting in the next few months. Even though my jeans are really comfy, they don’t compare to trousers! These particular ones are from Primark and I did get them a while ago, so they probably won’t have them anymore but they might have similar and I know they’re super affordable.
Checkerboard Slip-ons – Vans – My sweatshirt is slightly off white, so these Vans match perfectly. These particular Vans are a staple and are really versatile, they’re definitely worth getting for spring/summer.

What’s on Netflix rn?
I’ve compiled my latest favourites on Netflix into a post for all of you looking for something new to watch. I did a post like this in the summer, I haven’t included any that I mentioned in that post so read it here if you want even more to add to your list! I’ve linked all the trailers to everything I’ve mentioned below, as I know I have to watch the trailer before I invest in a series to see if I’ll like it.
The Crown (2016-present) – Trailer
Rating: 10/10
I was very late to the hype with this show but I watched both seasons in five days. It was seriously good! I’m already a huge fan of the royal family but I actually learnt so much about them and even about the history of the country in the process so that’s a bonus. Even if you’re not a royalist, this show is super juicy and dramatic, so it really is worth a watch.
You (2018-present) – Trailer
Rating: 7/10
I’ve included this series because it’s still relatively new, even though it seems like everyone has watched it. I was on the edge of my seat basically the whole time watching this show because it’s just so tense and actually weird really. I must admit, You might not be for everyone but the trailer is worth a watch as I personally think it’s really good.
Dirty John (2018-present) – Trailer
Rating: 8.5/10
Dirty John is similar to You in a way, I think it’s better actually. The themes are comparable though, but this series is based on a true story, which makes it creepier. Again, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, the storyline is so tense and you find yourself getting really annoyed at the characters!
Dynasty (2017-present) – Trailer
Rating: 7/10
I’ve been watching Dynasty since it came out, which is rare for me as I usually end up finding shows once they’ve been out a few years or when they’ve finished. I can’t really compare this series to anything else as there’s nothing I’ve seen that’s similar. It basically focuses around a rich family who get themselves into multiple scandals, it’s very dramatic.
Abducted in Plain Sight (2017) – Trailer
Rating: 8/10
Abducted in Plain Sight is a true crime documentary and it’s honestly so interesting. I had seen a few tweets about it so I decided to give it a watch. I’ve never heard of anything like it so it was so crazy to watch, if you like documentaries you must give this a try! I found it so gripping and shocking actually.
Sex Education (2019-present) – Trailer
Rating: 9/10
If you know me you’ll know that when I start watching a series, it kind of takes over my life. So you won’t be surprised when I say I watched this series in one day… This is probably my favourite I’ve mentioned here, after The Crown obviously. I can’t wait for season two! Even though the whole storyline is a bit bizarre, it gave me some PLL vibes with it being set mainly at a school, so I was living for it.

Graphic sweatshirts & Nude checkers
Another indoor photoshoot, these are becoming my favourite. I’m not leaving the warmth again! As I’m at uni I’m usually wearing something easy and comfy, which are my fave kind of outfits!
Kelloggs sweatshirt – H&M – I’m loving sweatshirts right now, especially ones that are super slouchy and cosy, I literally don’t want to be in anything else. I’ve rediscovered H&M recently, there’s just so many shops now it’s easy to forget about some haha. I absolutely love this sweatshirt, I got it in a size bigger than usual as I always wear things oversized as we know. The design on this sweatshirt is so cool, feel free to spon me Kelloggs.
Ripped jeans – Topshop – When am I not in jeans? Rarely ever not. They go with everything! And they’re actually comfy, despite what people say… Also I’m still trying to find somewhere that does slim fitting trousers that I like as I really want to get on that trend.
Frappe Checkerboard Vans from Vans. Similar at Office – I got these nude Checkerboards in the summer and they go perfectly with the sweatshirt as it’s slightly off white. I will pair some Vans with any outfit at this point. Seriously comfiest shoes ever though.
Double ring belt – River Island – I love this belt so much, it’s so simple and such a staple for a casual look. I can’t wear jeans without a belt now, it’s just not right!
